Ann loves school and tries to arrive early each day.  She helps Miss St. John clean the chalkboard and sweep the floors with the homemade cornshuck broom.  But what Ann likes best is the Bible stories that her teacher shares with her while they wait on the other children to arrive.  Yesterday the story was about how Jesus fed thousands of people with a little boy's lunch of bread and fish.

Ann convinced her Mom this morning that she was big enough to pack her lunch all by herself.  She carefully wrapped bread and two pieces of fish (leftover from supper).  You just never know when you may need to share your lunch.
