"Look Mama," said Sissy as she burst with excitement into the room where Mama was sewing.  "I did it myself.  I pulled my tooth!"  Mama started in amazement, first at the empty space in Sissy's mouth and then at the dental technique used to extract the tooth.  All in all it was a vivid realization that her baby was growing up.  But Sissy was on to more important matters as she ran to her room and her pillow, shouting, "Do you think the Tooth Fairy gives more dimes when you pull it yourself?"
